Irish artists past and present

Please note that this is not intended to be a comprehensive listing of Irish artists - rather, it is a work in progress, mainly comprising some of the lesser known or more obscure but interesting artists whose work has sold through our rooms, with additions and updates occasionally made. A good deal of the information has come from two particularly useful reference works:

  Theo Snoddy, Dictionary of Irish Artists: 20th Century, Merlin Publishing, Dublin, 2002 (second, revised edition), and
• Walter Strickland, A Dictionary of Irish Artists, Irish University Press, 1969 (2 volumes, facsimile reprint of the original 1913 edition).
